Greeks in Stockholm

Η ιδέα ανήκει σε Έλληνες bloggers που κατοικούν στο Λονδίνο (Greeks in London). Η πρωτοβουλία των παιδιών συνάδει με αυτό που θέλαμε από καιρό να κάνουμε για την παραμυθένια Στοκχόλμη, και να που με αφορμή την προσπάθεια τους (η πληροφορία ήρθε μέσω twitter από τον Γκρινιάρη) είπαμε να κάνουμε κι εμείς την αρχή.

Ώπερ και εγένετο, το Greeks in Stockholm είναι εδώ!

Chilly weather and temperature rised today, around 2-3 degrees. The result is melting ice as seen above.

Norms

Traditionally, that’s my impression at least, the armed forces are correlated to men (that Rambo figure is still vivid ) in most countries (Israel is an exception). Consequently it is rare to see a picture in the news, for a military related issue, not picturing men. Today, I came across an article (snapshot below) in the Local.se on criticism by Swedes towards the Swedish Armed forces and their intention to increase their presence in Afghanistan. What attracted my attention was the picture over the article depicting 3 women and only one man (all in field uniform) and I just found it quite interesting. Maybe it’s just my Greek norms that made me notice but can’t help it…
