I will definitely agree on the comment from Themis’ greek blog on a post referring to the latest report from doingbusiness. It seems we have more chances in Mongolia than in Greece…
Ancient greeks as a best practice
October 12, 2007Motivated by two posts in my friend’s Themis’ blog on Greek education (post in Greek) and on fear of failure, I just wanted to refer to a book i recently read and which I found closely related to the issues that Themis is raising. The book is titled “Who killed Homer?” by John Heath and Victor Davis Hanson and stresses out the deviation of today’s classical studies from the true ancient Greek spirit. The book was published back in 2001 but the questions raised and the examples offered can be found everywhere day.
